Spiffy Business: Raven + Lily Review & Giveaway

I am very excited to tell you about this fantastic business/cause, today! I love stumbling across something that your heart just knows is *good*! Raven + Lily is that company. You'll know what I mean from the moment you visit their webpage. I'm one of those people impressed with packaging...and they do such a good job of that on their website. They hooked me! But their hearts and cause goes so much deeper. Come check out their story...

"Empowering Women Through Design," is their motto. The co-founders and good friends, Kirsten and Sophia, have a passion for ethical design and fashion. They decided to form a company that would help to abolish poverty among women in struggling countries. They also return a portion of the proceeds to their partner communities for education, healthcare, and micro-loans. North Indian and Ethiopian women handcrafted all of the products on Raven + Lily's website, and as a consumer, you are taking part in helping these women have a future.

(more after the jump)

Please go and check out individual stories of women of poverty that have found hope through learning a trade, on Raven + Lily's website. It's truly incredible. The jewelry from Ethiopia is made through gun shells and a long and difficult process.  The journals from India are delicately crafted from recycled scraps and made into a beautiful work of art.

Raven + Lily sells not only jewelry but also journals, notecards, soaps, and scarves. They are all hand-crafted and you won't find any like them anyplace else! Do your part in helping these women HERE.
