You've heard of flashmobs before, right?
Well, they've been all over. From train stations, to subways, to parks. A group of people congregate at a specific location, at a specific time, and play the part of whatever the topic is for that time. Sometimes it's a musical, sometimes, it's a call for all twins to show up, sometimes it's completely random. But this time, it's dinner, and you dress all in white!
Des Moines, Iowa is having its 2nd annual Flashdine, tomorrow, Saturday the 15th of September at 6:00 p.m.!
Now, for the important stuff. You're asking me, yea, so what do I do? Where do I go??
Well, be sure to come back here, and I'll post an update to this post in the morning of where the flashmob will be. Twitter, Facebook, and this other blog will also have details! I joined the Facebook page, and will receive an update in the morning on exactly where this will be.
This is a take on the Diner en Blanc that originated from Paris. So, kids are welcome, wear all white, and BYO food, blanket/table, beverage, utinsels, etc. It will be a gorgeous evening, so come ready to meet new friends and have a great flashmob!
I love that flashmobs are like mini-skits. You show up someplace and pretend it's a normal everyday occurrence, with whatever you are doing. Hope to see you there!
